Administration and Office Support
Melissa Allen serves as Westside's Dean of Students. Mrs. Allen earned her Bachelor's in Liberal Studies/Elementary Education from Western Baptist College (Corban University) and her Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from George Fox University. She has had extensive experience conducting forensic investigations for the family circuit courts and has worked as a court-mandated parenting time educator and evaluator. In 2018, Mrs. Allen received her Restorative Justice and Responsibility Centered Discipline certificate.
Mrs. Allen and her husband have four kids and two of the most adorable grandsons (her words). They love to boat, paddle board, water ski, and camp.

Tana Allori began working at the front desk this year. She received her Bachelor's of Science degree in Psychology/Health from Western Oregon University and a Master's degree in Organizational Management from University of Phoenix. Mrs. Allori's previous experience includes teaching online undergraduate classes, working as an Academic Advisor for college students, operations and facilities management, and working as alternative education support for middle school and high school students.
Mrs. Allori recently celebrated her 20-year anniversary with her husband, and they have two children, ages 15 and 13. She loves spending time with her family and their dog Lulu, reading, hiking and traveling.
After teaching for 8 years in the Hillsboro school district, Mr. Ball moved to Westside, where he is now entering his 30th year on our staff. He initially taught Math classes before becoming our Academic Counselor, a position he has held for 24 years. He also serves as the head coach for our Cross-Country and Track and field programs, which he has led for over 20 years.
He's been married to his wife, Heidi, since 1986. They have 3 children who all attended Westside and have a current grandchild count of 6.
He has been married to his wife, Hiedi, for 37 years, Heidi, and they have three grown children who are graduates of Westside Christian High School: Laurel, David, and Morgan. Morgan and David both married WCHS alumni. Mr. Ball enjoys running with students and alumni and watching good movies with his wife.

Shelly Hawkins joined the front desk team at Westside in 2022. Her favorite part of her job is simple -- the students. She also loves assisting with coordinating shadow days for prospective students. Shelly received her Bachelor's of Science in Communications from Western Oregon University. Prior to coming to Westside, Mrs Hawkins spent over ten years in education, serving in roles in admissions and office support.
When she's off campus, Shelly enjoys walking with friends, gardening, and traveling with her husband and two teenagers.

Jason Housley has joined the administrative team in the position of Director of Admissions. Jason has many years of experience in advancement and development and will be a huge asset to us as we develop space and programs for all these new students.
Originally from Prineville, Oregon, Jason moved to Portland where he would find his wife of 17 years. Jason is inspired daily by his wife, Amanda, and their three children; 18-year-old Brady, 15 year-old Aaden, and 11-year-old daughter, Addie-Mae. His free time is spent with family, camping, working on the property, listening to music or up on the mountain snowboarding.
This is Jason’s 12th year in Christian education. Most recently, Jason served as Director of Development at Columbia Christian Schools for 4 years. He worked with branding, marketing, alumni relations, and donor development. Jason began his time at Columbia as the Athletic Director and served in this role for 5 years. Together, in all 9 years at Columbia, Jason developed strategic ways of developing relationships that will benefit the community for many years.

Beth Hust began at Westside in the Fall of 2023 as the front office manager. She received her Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration from Azusa Pacific University and her MBA from DeVry University. Ms. Hust's experience includes working at World Vision as a Business Analyst and, most recently, as the Executive Assistant for Teen Reach.
Ms. Hust has two daughters. The oldest is Westside class of 2025, and the youngest will be class of 2029. She loves spending time gardening, reading and traveling.

Josh Johnson brings over 20 years of operations experience across both the private and public sectors, including building infrastructure for startup businesses, managing IT project releases for large corporations, and providing operational oversight for churches and nonprofits. He values a head-and-heart approach to ministry, emphasizing clear communication, continuous improvement, collaboration, and, above all, sensitivity to the Holy Spirit's leading.
Josh has been married to his wife Cheryl for 19 years, and they have two children, Maddison and Judah. He enjoys camping, hiking, gardening, cooking, and traveling. Josh currently serves as the Director of Operations for WCHS.
Inna Kebbe joined WCHS at the start of 2023 as the Librarian/Lunch Coordinator. She holds a BA in General Science with a minor in Psychology from Portland State University.
Mrs. Kebbe is married to Michael and has two middle school aged children, Jordyn and Eli. In her free time, Mrs. Kebbe enjoys hiking, playing tennis and trying new restaurants with friends and family.

Christina Larrechea has been an educator for 25+ years, working with all grade levels K-12 and collegiate all up and down the West Coast states: Oregon (9 years), California (7 years), and Washington, most recently, (10 years). She also taught as adjunct faculty at Fresno Pacific University, teaching adults in the Teaching Program. She received both her undergraduate and Master's degree from Western Oregon University, with additional credits from Portland State, and Fresno Pacific University. Christina is interested in continuing her education as a Bible seminary student soon.
Christina has been married for 26 years with 2 children, 10th grade and 5th grade. She was raised in a Pastor's home, and loves church, small groups, and reading and studying her Bible. She has coached volleyball for 7 years, and enjoys soccer. Her favorite thing is to get together with her family for RV road trips across the US, and her friend group. She loves Jesus, giving her life to Christ when she was just 13 years of age, and endeavors to see His church grow."
Maddie Pringle ('19) is excited to be our new Director of Student Activities, and continue her role from previous years as Westside's Communication Coordinator and Theatre Director. She graduated with a B.A. in Communication Studies from Portland State University and is currently seeking her Masters. Ms. Pringle has a deep passion for Westside and its students.
Ms. Pringle is the daughter of Westside alumni and is an alumnus herself. In her free time, Ms. Pringle loves to travel, go to concerts, and play with her dogs. She is also passionate about theatre education and the arts.

Dr. Torode has been in Christian education for twenty-two years. Most of those years were served at Valley Christian High School in San Jose, California. He started in the classroom in 2002, teaching Art and Photography for seven years. After earning his Master's in Education from San Jose State University, he transitioned into an administrative role. Four years later he served as Head of School at Los Gatos Christian School for four years and then returned to Valley Christian for three more years as an Academic Counselor/Administrator.
In the summer of 2023, Dr. Torode joined Westside Christian as the Assistant Principal of Academics and Campus Ministry, and was asked to be the Interim Head of School in March 2024. He enjoys as much time as possible with his three children and three grandchildren. He also enjoys camping, fishing, and a good road trip. "

Mrs. Tyner has been the Director of Finance at Westside Christian High School since August 2012. She has a BS in Accounting from Colorado Christian University. Prior to coming to Westside Christian, Mrs. Tyner was a staff accountant in a local public accounting firm. She enjoys working with the people, atmosphere, and students at Westside Christian High School.
Mrs. Tyner is married to her husband, Richard. They have four adult children. She enjoys hosting gatherings at home, biking, skiing and playing games with family and friends. Mrs. Tyner and her husband enjoy serving the youth at Westside Christian.

Christian Bitar is embarking on his first year of working at Westside Christian High School. Prior to working at Westside, Christian taught for 4 years at Standley Lake High School in Colorado. There he taught Biology, Chemistry and Honors Chemistry to students in grades 9-12. Christian received a BS in Biochemistry from Regis University and a MA in education from Regis University.
Christian is married to Emily and together have a 2-year-old daughter named Hailey and are expecting another daughter this coming January. During his free time, Christian enjoys spending time with his family, reading, being physically active and watching sports; specifically Premier League Soccer. Christian will be teaching Chemistry and AP Chemistry at WCHS this school year.
Wendy Collins has taught Spanish 2, Digital Design, and Yearbook since 2022. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology from Portland State University and her Masters Degree in Writing/Publishing also from Portland State University in 2011. As a native Spanish speaker and passionate learner of Italian, Mrs. Collins enjoys getting students excited about learning a second language.
She is married to Brad Montplaisir and they have two kids, Kian and Lily. They enjoy snow sports, running, and going to Blazer games. Mrs. Collins is also an artist and photographer in her free time.
Profe Cook has taught Spanish at Westside Christian High School since 2008. She graduated from Life Pacific University and George Fox University. She loves the students at Westside Christian High School and enjoys helping them grow in their world language skills and cultural understanding.
Profe Cook is married to Ben, and they have a son, Daniel. She loves spending time outdoors, dancing the Salsa and Bachata, reading, and traveling.
Brittney Crary is in her first year at Westside, but has a long history here as her two brothers and many extended family are alumni. She discovered her passion for Spanish in high school, taking all 5 years that were offered. She received a Bachelor's in Spanish from Linfield College and went on to get her Master's in Education at George Fox University. She is so excited to be at Westside and pass along her passion for the language, people and culture to her students.
Mrs. Crary is married and has a son and daughter who are her world and attending Westhills Christian this year! They love to play games, see movies, ride bikes, and hang out with family.
Brenda Davisson graduated from the University of Idaho in 2014 and has been teaching middle school and high school English for 11 years. She recently spent 3 years overseas in Indonesia teaching International Baccalaureate curriculum at a Christian international school. Currently, she is working on her master's degree in School Counseling.
Mr. Flores has taught at Westside Christian High School since 2014. He has a B.S. in Philosophy with an emphasis in World Religion from Oregon State University and a Master of Divinity in Theological Studies from Multnomah University.
He has three kids; 18, 15, and 10. When he has free time, he loves playing guitar and going on hikes. He loves his Church family at Community of Faith where he leads worship most Sundays and preaches occasionally.
Michelle Forbes has taught AP US History, US History, and PE at Westside Christian High School since 2022. Before that she taught IB history, US history, and PE at South Salem HS and Gyeonggi Suwon International School in South Korea. She received her Bachelor's in History and Political Science from George Fox University and her Master's in Teaching from Willamette University. Miss Forbes loves being at Westside and helping students develop their critical thinking and writing skills.
Miss Forbes has a son named Joshua and they live in Newberg. She loves spending time on the river, wakeboarding, skiing, reading, and being with family as well as traveling, hiking, and exploring national parks. Miss Forbes has coached track at Westside, and has coached volleyball and track at other schools including George Fox.
Will Fox is in his fourteenth year teaching at Westside Christian. He directs all music at the school, including three choirs (Concert Choir, Westside Voices, and Soli Deo Gloria), Concert Band, Ignite Worship Team, and Drumline and Pep Band. His choirs have won the Oregon 3A Choir State Championship every year he’s taught, as well as numerous vocal jazz festivals. Mr. Fox started the Concert Band program in 2016, capturing four consecutive Oregon 3A Band State Championships held since. He directs the Oregon SenateAires barbershop chorus in Salem, owns a private music studio, Music at Will, and serves as an Oregon ACDA Repertoire and Resources board member and is a certified choral judge in Oregon.
Mr. Fox has been married to Lynn for 35 years and they have two adult children, Macy and Bryce, a daughter-in-law married to Bryce, Molly, and an Australian Labradoodle puppy named Finn.
Lindsey has seven years of experience teaching Art K-12. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Portland State University and her Master's Degree in Teaching from George Fox University. She is a professional ceramics teacher and owns a ceramics studio offering private lessons for all ages. She has served as a youth leader with Sunset Youth and CIY, middle school, and high school, and enjoys the fun of creating Art with her students at Westside.
Lindsey has two amazing teenage sons and enjoys hiking, yoga, weight training, making wheel-thrown ceramics, traveling, and spending time with loved ones.
Mrs. Heisner has taught biology at Westside Christian High School since 2020. She studied French and biology at Seattle Pacific University and earned her Master's in Teaching from Western Governors University. She has a background in Ecology
Mrs. Heisner is married to her husband Chris. In her free time she enjoys trail running and backpacking. She leads the WCHS outdoor club and is our assistant cross country and track coach.
For over 30 years, Willy Hughes has either been in the classroom, behind the pulpit, or on the tennis court guiding the next generation toward adulthood. He has a Bachelor’s from Linfield (Mathematics), Masters’s from SouthWestern Baptist (Theology) and Oregon State (Mathematics Education), and a Doctorate from Gordon-Conwell (Adolescent Development in a Postmodern Context within a Biblical Perspective).
His wife, Kayla, is the owner and operator of Music Together Resonate, and they are raising two teenagers, MaryBeth and H. He spends his time with MaryBeth negotiating at Garage Sales, throwing plastic with H on the disc golf course, and taking car rides through the countryside with his wife. At Westside, Dr. Hughes teaches the upper level math courses, serves as a sophomore class representative, and participates on the Spiritual Life Team.
Mr. Lindsley has taught Bible at Westside Christian High School since 2018. He has a B.S. in Bible and Youth Ministry from Multnomah University, Master of Divinity in Theological Studies from Multnomah Seminary and a Master of Theology from Multnomah Seminary. Mr. Lindsley worked for 10 years as a Middle and High School Youth pastor in Vancouver, Washington. He loves the community at Westside Christian and is grateful for the privilege of walking through the story of God's Word with students as they begin to see how their lives fit into God's great story.
This is Laura Lothrop's first year teaching English at Westside Christian High School. Ms. Lothrop attended Seattle Pacific University where she received her Bachelor's in English and a Master's in Teaching from George Fox University. Ms. Lothrop seeks to teach students the power of language so that they may be free to think for themselves and use the power of language and words for good.
Ms. Lothrop loves spending time in nature; staring up at trees, marveling at ferns, and swimming any and everywhere in the pacific northwest.
Mrs. Petrisor has taught English at Westside since 2021. She received her Bachelor's in English from PSU and has a Master's in Teaching from George Fox University. Mrs. Petrisor loves the students at Westside and loves engaging them in deep discussions on classic and contemporary literature. She hopes to inspire a love of reading, writing, and learning.
Mrs. Petrisor is married to Josh Petrisor and has a four year old son named Damien. She loves spending time with family and friends, baking, reading, movies, traveling, and much more.
Denise Rose has taught at Westside since 1984. She has taught both French and History, but is currently teaching World History, AP World History and AP European History. She graduated from Oregon State University and is an avid Beaver fan.
Mrs. Rose is married to Mark and has two adult children, Emily and Michael, who graduated from Westside and Oregon State University. She also has two granddaughters who are the joy of her life. She loves spending time with family and friends."
Cody Schuman has been at Westside since the 2023-45 school year. Cody is teaching Life Skills and is the Campus Chaplain in the Nest. She received her Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Liberty University, Master's of Divinity from Western Seminary, is a Clinically Certified Professional Chaplain, certified medical ethicist, and worked at OHSU and Doernbecher Children's Hospital as a Chaplain.
Cody is married to Bruce and is the Mama of four children and three fur kids. Cody enjoys Bible study, running, cooking, baking, hospitality, snow skiing with the kids, and watching movies.
Cynthia Torode has taught high school for the past 19 years. This is her second year at Westside Christian High School. She received a dual Bachelor's degree in Bible Theology and Management/Ethics from William Jessup University. Mrs. Torode loves to empower students to become compassionate, informed, and globally conscious individuals, ready to positively impact the world by showing Christ's love to all they serve.
Mr. Teters is starting his first year at Westside Christian High School. He is returning to the Portland area after living and teaching overseas for the past eleven years. He graduated from Portland State University with a degree in mathematics and completed his Masters in Educational Technology at Fort Hays State University.
He and his wife, Karen, have three adult children and two grandsons. Mr. Teters enjoys traveling, reading, hiking, biking, swimming and running.
Jake Van Wickle has been teaching high school science since 2017, and is excited to be a part of the Westside Community. He received his Bachelor's in Kinesiology from Cal Poly, and afterwards went to earn a Doctor of Chiropractic from Life West Chiropractic College. Dr. Van Wickle has a passion for helping students think scientifically in order to better understand God's creation, and the laws of the universe established and maintained by a wonderful law-giver.
Dr. Van Wickle is married to Rachel, and they have two kids, Henry and Isla. The whole family loves to indoor rock climb and go on adventures, particularly Hood River or the Oregon Coast.
Jason Washburn has taught Engineering at Westside since 2021. He received his Bachelor's in Economics from University of Oregon and a Bachelor's in Information Technology from Oregon Tech. Mr. Washburn never wanted to be a teacher, but God had other plans. He is enjoying building an engineering program, helping with IT, and coaching WCHS Baseball.
Mr. Washburn and his wife, Heather, have a 3 year old, Mikey, who loves to talk and build things. If Mr. Washburn had time for hobbies/interests, he would enjoy playing board games and reading books.
This is Mrs. White’s second year teaching at Westside Christian High School, and she will be teaching Geometry and Algebra 2. She earned her Master’s in Secondary Mathematics Education from The University of Alabama. Mrs. White taught at the local community college for several years before homeschooling her two children.
Mrs. White has been married to her husband, Robby, for 20 years. They have 2 kids, Elle and London. They love traveling the country and spending time with family and friends.
Scott Wright has taught social studies at WCHS since it was founded in 1981, and taught at two public schools before that. He now teaches only Government and Economics. Mr. Wright has a B.A. from DePauw University in History and an M.A. from Ohio University in History. He has an Oregon teaching certificate.
Mr. Wright is a widower with two adult children who also live in Beaverton. He likes college football, golf, games, and reading.
